The application deadline for children applying to our Elementary division is January 15, 2021. Admissions decision letters informing applicants of acceptance, non-acceptance, or wait list status will be sent by March 10, 2021.

Step 1: Online Inquiry

Fill out an inquiry form here. The completion of an inquiry form registers you in our system so that we can communicate with you about the admissions process and important dates. You should only fill out one inquiry form per family, even if you have multiple children applying.

Step 2: Parent Tour

Wellan Montessori School is not currently hosting visitors on school days. If you are interested in learning more, please sign up for a phone call or video chat via this link to get started. You may also access an interactive virtual tour here.

Step 4: Application

Fill out an application form here. You will be prompted to pay the $50 fee online after you complete your application. If you'd prefer to pay by check, please make payable to Wellan Montessori School and send via USPS. Financial aid may be available for qualified applicants. Step 3: Classroom Observation

We are unable to host classroom observations during the 20–21 school year. You will be shown clips of the students in action during division-specific virtual info sessions.

Step 5: Previous School Records

If your child currently attends or has previously attended another school, please ask your child’s teacher to submit an AISNE student evaluation form before January 15, 2021. If your child will be 4–6 years old as of September 1, 2021, click here for the AISNE form. If your child will be 7 or older as of September 1, 2021, click here for the AISNE form. We also require that a copy of all school records, including your child’s most recent progress reports, be forwarded to Wellan before the January 15 deadline.

Step 6: Child Visit

All student visits will be hosted virtually during the 2020–2021 school year. After all of the above items have been received, the Admissions Department will contact you to schedule a meeting. Applicants should expect to interview with a classroom teacher and to complete an academic assessment during this time.
