The Junior Owls athletic program kicked off a week early to ensure our soccer players were ready for their first match against Lesley Ellis next week. Beginner teacher and soccer coach Ray Niemi weighs in:

“One of the best aspects of this team is that, similar to the classrooms, we have multiple ages and levels present on the team. Having these differences allows for the children to learn and teach one another as we play and practice. We’ve also observed the players cheering on their teammates as we practice and run drills. We are looking forward to a great season where we all progress and develop our skills both on the field and off as considerate teammates.”

The Junior Owls soccer team isn’t alone in its incorporation of Montessori philosophy.
